This clean column strapless gown is a polyester/spandex stretch crepe with a modern, deep v-neckline (to the waist) with a bit of almost-invisible mesh to hold things in place. Its sleek silhouette was designed with a detachable Watteau train (made to attach at the back of the gown). This train was made from illusion tulle, scattered with pearls, and was quite long. Because the bride did not wish to wear a train of tulle, we instead had it shortened and attached to a comb, which was used in her hair as a floor-length veil (did not cover her face, just hung down her back). She wore the veil during the ceremony and removed it for the reception. We retained the extra tulle and it will be included with the dress and the veil. The gown is fitted throughout and is not bra friendly - we had cups sewn in by an expert bridal tailor. The dress is a size 8 and fit perfectly through the hips, but the bride is small-busted so the bodice was taken in to about a size 6. Bride was 5' 4" and wore 3 1/2" heels for the wedding - dress was hemmed to skim the floor. The tailor included a bustle.
